BIOGRAPHY
I received my Masters in art therapy and post-graduate training in Integrated Trauma Treatment. Before opening my practice, I worked extensively in New York City with children and adolescents in the foster care system, court-involved young people, and adults with psychiatric diagnoses. I also saw adult clients at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy through their Trauma Studies Center and Gay and Lesbian Affirmative Psychotherapy programs.
My training in two trauma-processing psychotherapy models has transformed my practice and continues to enrich the lives of many clients. I've been trained in EMDR but have taken the deepest of dives into Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). I was a program assistant in IFS trainings for many years, then an Assistant Trainer for the Internal Family Systems Institute from 2016-2021. It is the model of therapy I love best.
I have also performed in bands and collaborated with many downtown NYC performers for the last twenty years. I like to think my experience as a performer enhances my clinical work.
